Corporations have huge parking structures both indoor and outdoor. They could reduce the space for parking to encourage employees to carpool and use this space to plant trees, flowers, and food. Employees should be encouraged to work on the space by counting as work time a specific number of hours per week that they spend planting, harvesting, etc. Food costs for cafeteria food could be reduced as a lot of the produce could come from their own garden. Food scraps from the cafeteria could be used as compost. Finally some of this space can also be allocated to house solar panels and rain catchers. The trend for not owning a vehicle is only increasing so companies should start innovating and using these spaces to make cities greener.
